The Wayne Little League baseball fields are located at 191 Laauwe Avenue in Wayne, New Jersey 07470 (which is off of Garside Avenue in Wayne).
We have three well-kept baseball fields. Two of our fields have lights so our players can have night games. Our fields have scoreboards. We feature a training area with practice mounds and two turfed batting cages. We have a refreshment stand at our little league complex so that players, friends and family and spectators can enjoy meals, snacks and beverages while watching the games. Outdoor tables make it a fun place where spectators can gather. We have handicap accessible bathrooms. Our fields are of top quality and we host little league tournament games.
Our three Little League baseball fields are located in Wayne Township at Dotterweich Park complex. Wayne Little League remembers August "Pappy" Dotterweich and his dedication to children and baseball. We appreciate the Dotterweich family who lived in Wayne since the nineteenth century when John and Jacobina Dotterweich lived with their family in Wayne on a farm in the 1870's.
Wayne Little League also remembers its Past President, John "Chick" Choka, who served as President of Wayne Little League for 50 years since 1968. In his third year as President, Wayne Little League won the Little League World Series in 1970. One of the baseball fields at our Dotterweich field complex is named after Chick Choka. Wayne Little League remains one of only four New Jersey towns to ever win the Little League World Series. Chick Choka dedicated so much of his time to Wayne Little League and we will forever remember him.
We hope to see you as you visit and watch the many games that take place at the Wayne Little League fields.
